The EC250E Hybrid crawler excavator utilizes pioneering Volvo hydraulic hybrid technology to lower fuel consumption by up to 15%. Using the boom down motion to charge the accumulator, the excavator uses this stored energy to drive the assist motor lowering the torque requirement on the engine.
