G240 Tier-4i Generator

The G240 Tier-4i generator from Doosan Portable Power delivers 238 kVA (190 kW) at 68 dB(A) at 100% load with an optional variable speed fan, Doosan Portable Power delivers the coolest and quietest mid-range T4i package in the market. To increase the versatility of the machine, a Dual-Frequency switch is a standard feature that allows the generator to change from 50Hz to 60Hz. Enhancing performance in even the most extreme temperatures is an optional Tundra Package, which ensures startup and reliable operation in temperatures as low as -40°F/°C. The package includes a coolant heater, oil pan heater, battery charger, battery heater pad and heated breather hose.

A fuel-efficient Tier 4i-compliant Cummins QSB7 T4i engine improves fuel economy so that the G240 T4i can run for 26 hours (at 100% load). Industry-leading serviceability continues with 500-hour service intervals. The G240 T4i is equipped with a Leroy-Somer alternator with AREP excitation, protecting against overload and short-circuit, offering voltage stability and greater motor-starting capability.

The new operator-preferred analog control panel has been enhanced featuring large, brightly lit meters for at-a-glance monitoring. The onboard engine diagnostic display panel includes the controls and indicators required to operate and maintain the aftertreatment regeneration system. A run/idle switch on the control unit ensures reduced engine wear during startup in extreme cold temperatures. Dual frequency capability is now standard on the Tier 4 portfolio to expand the versatility of the machines to power 50Hz applications with the simple flip of a switch. A Voltage Selector Switch is a standard feature to provide quick and easy voltage configuration. The signature protection feature on Doosan Portable Power generators prevents operators from switching voltage during operation – a common cause of downtime and expensive component failure.

Connection panels are now more accessible for improved safety and convenience with more power wiring connections available, an optional camlock panel to further expand connection versatility, an array of twist-lock and GFCI receptacles and a terminal board that accepts bare wire or lugged cable.
